Our culture has been besieged by opponents of Western civilization who wish in the depths of their dark hearts to dismantle the greatest civilization that has ever existed on the face of the planet, to deny us of our destiny, and to do away with our liberties. What our people face now is akin to what the people of Poland faced on September 1, 1939. Though our civilization is not being destroyed through a calculated military assault, it is however being destroyed through a calculated political and cultural assault. If our civilization is to survive, patriots must rise up in its defense.
The more effective campaigns being conducted by our enemy in this war are not necessarily those of bombs and bullets. They are being fought in the classrooms and courtrooms, through media manipulation, and the revision of policies and procedures within strategic domestic strongholds. Our enemy has gained more ground by victories in those venues than they could ever have gained on any battlefield.
You’ve got to decide what you are willing to die for. Perhaps it is fortunate that this statement does not actively apply – at least not in its most immediate and operative form - to the vast majority of Americans today. It is indeed applicable, however, to those who are most visibly and actively engaged in the battle against Islamic terrorism.
Those of us who grew up in the 1940s and 50s almost universally look back on those days with great fondness. Born into an era that saw the end of the Depression and living as children through World War II, we were nonetheless somehow shielded from it by parents who took care to ensure that these calamities in the world did not take from us the sheer joy of being young.
By 1945, America emerged from the war as one of the world's recognized superpowers, plunging immediately into the Cold War with the Soviet Union, a totalitarian regime that, like all Communists, promised a worker's paradise and delivered a new form of serfdom.
